Digging blind costs days. We pre-locate electronically and pinpoint with a thumper — one excavation, one repair.
At Tajalli Tech, we provide comprehensive underground HT and LT cable fault-locating services designed to identify and repair faults with precision, avoiding the repeated excavation that conventional methods require. Our engineers first carry out electronic pre-location using a time-domain reflectometer (TDR) to establish the fault zone, then pinpoint the exact position to within about a metre using a surge generator and acoustic receiver. We also undertake sheath and earth-fault testing and full route tracing, ensuring the fault is located accurately before any excavation begins. Our experience includes locating a fault on Northern Coalfields' 50 MW system that two other vendors were unable to resolve.
On completion, you receive documented findings identifying the fault type and its distance along the run, a marked dig point on the cable route and recorded sheath and earth-fault test readings. Following repair by our certified jointers, a hipot proof-test is carried out before re-energising, with results prepared in accordance with applicable IS/IEC standards so the feeder returns to service on documented evidence.
In most cases, yes. A clear TDR trace combined with surge pinpointing narrows the majority of faults to within a metre. Our engineers mobilise across Lucknow, throughout Uttar Pradesh and pan-India.
Yes. Our certified jointers complete the repair, and every run is hipot proof-tested before it is returned to service, with the results documented for your records.
